SCALE Lab, led by Fani Derveni at Cornell University, develops and characterizes innovative scalable metastructures to address engineering challenges by integrating experimental and computational mechanics.

We advance engineering structures with smart mechanical metamaterials, targeting structural performance, resilience, and sustainability in infrastructure—starting at the microstructure and scaling up.
